Calling All Authors for 2014

I know 2013 isn’t over yet and I’m not wishing it away. I love November and December. The crisp air, the holidays, the long nights–I just love it. However, I’m trying to get more organized for next year. Organization isn’t my strong suit so we’ll see how it goes. And I can’t take on any more review books for 2013. I have five that I’ve committed to, plus four more for book tours. I foresee a lot of late nights in the very near future. Trust me, I’m not complaining.

Next year I want to read more. I say this every year, but I will really try in 2014. And I need your help to succeed. If you are an author don’t be shy, send me a request for a review. Just remember, I won’t be able to read and review it until 2014. If time isn’t an issue, hop on over to my review policy page. And this isn’t just for indie authors. I love books. I love authors. I don’t care if an author self-published or went the traditional route. All that matters to me is story. If the story is good then I’m in. I do prefer self-published books that have been professionally edited. I’m not an editor (just ask my wonderful and patient editor if you need confirmation), but I am capable of picking up on things. If it’s too painful to read, I may not finish it. If I do finish it, I will mention the lack of editing in my review.

Also if you need help promoting your books, keep me in mind for cover reveals, guest posts, and interviews. I can still fit these in this year. One of the best things about this blog is getting the chance to meet and talk with other authors. So far I’ve met many and have enjoyed each interaction. But I’m greedy and I want to meet more. Again, don’t be shy. Send me an email: tbmarkinson (at) gmail (dot) com and tell me how I can help. Don’t like email, get a hold of me via Twitter , Facebook, or Goodreads.

I’m really looking forward to 2014! What do all of you have planned for the new year?

Ah, dear TBM, what an exciting thing you offer us… How I wished to be good in this language, how I wished… Good Luck for 2014! Thank you, have a nice day and weekend, love, nia

  2. What do I have planned? Reading, reading, reading, and coming to meet you :).

  3. Your generosity is admirable…thank you for that! Here’s to being organized in 2014!

I wish I have more time to read 😦
    …and write.

Good luck with your books 🙂

  5. What a generous offer! I would love to have you review my book. Once I have the ebook copies I will submit a request for next year.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Even though I did not publish my worse seller until last spring, I wish you were on my radar about a year ago when I was working on my slender tome. Your insights are so valuable and your support and enthusiasm for authors is so generous. The cynic in me, who comprises about 99.9% of me, suspects you must be more Watson than human.

  7. Fantastic offer! 🙂 I love to read too. I’ve been trying to do more reviews this year myself. Have a great weekend!

Wow, this is an awesome offer. In early 2014, I am publishing my first YA novel. Woot. 🙂
