Many of you know that I am pretty new to the self-publishing world. My first novel, A Woman Lost, was published last July. It’s been an interesting journey so far. Some days are filled with excitement and other days are frustrating and I feel like I would accomplish more if I banged my head against a wall.
Today I logged onto Goodreads to look up book. That’s when I noticed that my book was on a list. I’ve seen lists before and I’ve voted for books on some lists, but I hadn’t considered that my novel would make one. In fact, I’m not sure how these lists are created—probably should learn more about that. In case you are wondering, A Woman Lost, which is a lesbian romance, is on the Best F/F Romance Books.
Then I noticed that not only was my book on the list, but someone had voted for it: Regann. She recently wrote a lovely review on her blog. Thanks Regann! As I write this, I’m 48th out of 155. Not too shabby.
So today is a good day on my self-publishing journey. I’m not sure about tomorrow, but right now I want to focus on today. It’s the little things that make me happy and it’s important to celebrate all accomplishments.
