Many of you know that I am pretty new to the self-publishing world. My first novel, A 
Woman Lost, was published last July. It’s been an interesting journey so far. Some days are filled with excitement and other days are frustrating and I feel like I would accomplish more if I banged my head against a wall.
Today I logged onto Goodreads to look up book. That’s when I noticed that my book was on a list. I’ve seen lists before and I’ve voted for books on some lists, but I hadn’t considered that my novel would make one. In fact, I’m not sure how these lists are created—probably should learn more about that. In case you are wondering, A Woman Lost, which is a lesbian romance, is on the Best F/F Romance Books.
Then I noticed that not only was my book on the list, but someone had voted for it: Regann. She recently wrote a lovely review on her blog. Thanks Regann! As I write this, I’m 48th out of 155. Not too shabby.
So today is a good day on my self-publishing journey. I’m not sure about tomorrow, but right now I want to focus on today. It’s the little things that make me happy and it’s important to celebrate all accomplishments.

Aw, you looked. I love that! By the way, do you have a goodreads account. If not, I suggest getting one since you may want to start networking so your book will be at the top of every list possible. How’s the writing coming along?
As per my post today we are hitting the road for a power push for sales on my software… most courses book year end is December so we are hoping to make some major sales and do some setting up… so the book has come to a stand still at present, but as and when I get time I get back to it… I’ve actually got quite far with 87000 words down on computer… I don’t know what constitutes a full book word wise…

good luck with the power push! I have my fingers crossed! 87000 words is great. My novels are around 70000 words. I think I read recently that the target is 90000, but can’t remember the source.
