Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
Grab your current read
Open to a random page
Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teaser!
Here’s mine for the week:
Two years of hiding, two years of relying on others, two years living with the fear of betrayal; and before that the years of listening to Ramón’s lies and then the years when he didn’t even lie and boasted to her of his affairs; and before that, her life in Oviedo, and how life revolved around her father, his afternoon siestas when the the house was shuttered so tight that no light entered and she had to lie on her bed and will herself not to fall asleep, just so she could hold on to that little piece of, what was it Manuel had said?, “independence”. Yes, she did like her independence.
Fisher, Colin (2012-09-15). A Republic of Wolves. A City of Ghosts. (Kindle Locations 741-745). Colin Fisher. Kindle Edition.
Sounds like an interesting book! We all want independence! Glad she finally has it…. maybe!

will let you know if she did find it. Thanks for the link!
Intriguing teaser. It sounds like she has an interesting, uncomfortable life. Please come see my teasers from Runt by Nora Raleigh Baskin and The White Princess by Philippa Gregory. Happy reading!
Thanks for the links
Cool concept!
Thanks, Robert
Sounds interesting. I look forward to reading your review.
I read a little last night and I’m very curious about this story. So much potential.
Wow, two years of relying on others would probably kill me. I might be a little Type A…
Here’s my Teaser Tuesday Written in Red by Anne Bishop
Mei @ Diary of a Fair Weather Diver
LOL, I may be a little Type A as well. Will hop over to read yours.
great idea .. am reading German at the moment so may wait till I am back to English
Very cool that you have options like that.
Haven’t heard of that book before… I quite like the sound of it.
I’m not very far, but so far I’m enjoying it. The main character is a feisty woman living in Madrid during the Civil War.
